There are many ways to work alongside an artist or a band... Here are three stories that show how I do it in practice.
Story 01
From Demo
to Single
Music Production — Coffee & Dreams
It all started when I received this acoustic demo from a Belgian singer.
We talked a lot about music.
I suggested changing the tempo and the key, then started building around the song: a beat, different textures...
I told the artist that I could hear a choir and a spoken-word section in that song.
So we built the choir entirely from her own voice.
She trusted me.
And here’s where that song took us.
Story 02
From Rehearsal
to Stage
Live Coaching — Screaming Fields
Every year, eight bands are selected to take part in the Screaming Fields Festival (Luxembourg).
Before they take the stage, I spend time with each of them in rehearsal.
We work on artistic presence, song transitions, the dynamics of the set... but above all, on how each band can perform without losing what makes them unique.
A few hours to observe, experiment, adjust... and sometimes question everything.
And then... Showtime!
At the end of the festival, one band is selected for a year-long accelerator programme: live coaching, songwriting workshops, vocal lessons and personalised support throughout the development of their project.
The next year, that band returns to Screaming Fields... this time as a headliner.
Story 03
Six Months
Together
Mentoring Programme — Proweekend Campus
In 2025, I worked alongside four artists and bands from the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Scotland as part of a European mentoring programme.
Every week, we met online to talk about their songs, their projects, their questions... and sometimes simply to figure out what the next step should be.
I designed and coordinated a songwriting camp in a professional recording studio, alongside mentoring and live coaching sessions.
I imagined this programme around a simple idea: bringing together the expertise the artists would need throughout those six months.
Three other international professionals joined me to assist with the project, each bringing their own expertise: management, publishing and digital marketing.
